A new establishment of Residential Tipology is a Future way of living, we need to face with it with new ways of construction. Is out of doubt, as Visionaries, to taking a direction of intellectual Freedom. Planning places for people is a concern about FORM, SOCIETY, FUNCTION and CONTEXT. What if we don't face with the CONTEXT? We Think about future needs, in a wide sense of it. Easter Island is not a real site, is a urban vision. In spite of struggling finding the better way to face with History, We plan, as architects, using different rules. A Placement on the ground, has to approach taking care about different composition rules, concerning the north, the south, the accesses. Open facades have to face the light, Close facades point towards north to decrease heat trasmittances.
We present, in this work, a new typology of thinking Residential House. Instead of thinking a sustainable concept based on an year scale, we assumed new character in a DAY SCALE. Buildings change their conformation from morning to the night, appearing to catch the light, disappearing to sleep in peace. Elevators with ordinary pulley systems permit respective inhabitants to reach different floors, from the basement to the roof. Rooms are placed in the lower floors and daylight function in the upper ones. Kitchen and Library move up and down adding a function to the elevators. An other concept we brang in the project is the SOIL CONSUMPTION. The entire construction works as a carrot in the ground. In the night you can barely see human presence. All the houses lay underground, the surface appears virgin and uncontaminated. During a day inhabitants can be delighted by a wide open and panoramic garden on the roof.
